Statement of faith

Welcome

We are thankful that your journey for a new church family has brought you online to our FGSC website – Welcome!
We understand the many aspects that one considers when searching for a new church family. We hope you can relax for just a moment and let God lead you. We are committed to making your experience with us as friendly and loving as possible. When you join us for a service, you will notice immediately that our church has been blessed by God with gifted and talented people of all ages and different backgrounds that love serving and worshiping the Lord Jesus Christ. Here at Full Gospel Slavic Church, we strive to share and proclaim the Full Gospel / The Full Word of God… Why? Because the Word of the Lord is upright, and all of His work is done in faithfulness (Psalm 33:4). We understand that the Word of God is living ad active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of the soul and spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart (Hebrews 4:12) You will also discover if you dig a little deeper, that FGSC is full of imperfect people who are simply striving daily to be more like Jesus Christ than they were the day before. The journey for all of us, is about progress not perfection. The blessings that we share in is that we are seeing God do amazing things in so many lives here at FGSC every day. Consider this your opportunity to join in on what God is doing at FGSC. We are confident He is just getting started with us and with you. We look forward to sharing more of the straight path of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ with you.

About Us

We are a Christian Faith-Based Church located in South Meridian off Hwy 69 & Lake Hazel Rd. Resting on 10 acres of flat country land. The Church Sanctuary and Gymnasium Building were constructed by our founding member from the ground up in the year 2013. While we are not a large-scale church, the mission outreach that we are engaged in regularly, does in fact reach out to the ends of the world (Mexico, Ukraine, Russia, Africa…) as well as to the local community here in the Treasure Valley. We put an effort into serving the Lord Jesus Christ in a modest way in this ever-changing world all the while holding onto the Truth, the Way and the Life – Jesus Christ, as we tread carefully on this Journey here on Earth. We live and serve Jesus Christ this way knowing full well that we must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ one day, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil (2 Corinthians 5:10).
It is our prayer that together we can all do great things in this life for the Kingdom of God remembering that whether we eat or drink, or whatever else we do, we do it all for the glory of God
(1 Cor. 10:31)

Mission Statement

Our Mission is to glorify God by: Ministering to all mankind in every phase of life, improving the quality of life experienced here on earth, preparing for eternal existence with God in peace, promoting and maintaining a "spirit of love and peace" in fulfilling God's purpose... we are simple people leading other simple people into a life-changing, ever-growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

What We Believe

About God: We believe in one God, the Creator, and sustainer of all things, who exists eternally in three persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. These three are one in essence but distinct in person and function. Elohim God has no beginning and no end... He is eternal.

About The Father

God is great: He is all powerful, all knowing, ever present, unchanging, completely worthy of our trust, and above all, Holy. It is in Him that we live, move and exist. God is good. He is our Father. He is loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises.

About The Son

Our Mission is to glorify God by: Ministering to all mankind in every phase of life, improving the quality of life experienced here on earth, preparing for eternal existence with God in peace, promoting and maintaining a "spirit of love and peace" in fulfilling God's purpose... we are simple people leading other simple people into a life-changing, ever-growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

About The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit’s presence assures us of our relationship with Christ. He guides believers into all truth and exalts Christ. He convicts people of their sin, God’s righteousness, and the coming judgment. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and makes us more like Christ each and every day of our life.

About Creation

We believe that all things were created by God as stated in the Holy Scriptures “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1) The universe was created and is continuously sustained by God; thus it both reflects His glory and reveals His truth. Human beings were directly created, not evolved, in the very image of God.

About The Bible

The Bible, both Old and New Testaments, though written by men, was supernaturally inspired by God so that all its words are the written true revelation of God. It is to be understood by all through the illumination of the Holy Spirit, its meaning determined by the historical, grammatical, and literary use of the author’s language, comparing Scripture with Scripture.

About Man

Adam, made in the image of God, the first man, willfully disobeyed God, bringing sin and death into the world. As a result, all persons are sinners from conception, which is evidenced in their willful acts of sin; and they are therefore subject to eternal punishment, under the just condemnation of a holy God. Every human personality is uniquely created, possesses dignity, and is worthy of respect and Christian love.

About Marriage

Marriage is the first human institution established in the Bible (Genesis 1:27) and is between a man and a woman. The Bible clearly states that “a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh” (Genesis 2:24) and again we see in the Gospel of Mark “and the two shall become one flesh, So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate (Mark 10:8-9) As you can see, if God designed marriage he can also make it work. Scripture is full of clear guidance for couples. The relationship between husband and wife is spiritually important in the Family and in the building of the Kingdom of God.
So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate
(Mark 10:8-9)

About Salvation

We believe that Jesus Christ offered Himself as a sacrifice by the appointment of the Father. He fulfilled the demands of God by His obedient life, died on the cross in full substitution and payment for the sins of all, was buried, and on the third day He arose physically and bodily from the dead. He ascended into heaven where He now intercedes for all believers. We affirm that each person can be saved only through the work of Jesus Christ, through repentance of sin and by grace through faith alone in Him as Savior. The believer is declared righteous, born again by the Holy Spirit, turned from sin, and assured of heaven as their eternal residence.

About Spirit Filled

The Holy Spirit indwells all who are born again, conforming them to the likeness of Jesus Christ. This is a process completed by and of Heaven’s authority. Every believer is responsible to live in obedience to the Word of God in separation from sin. The gifts of the Holy Spirit that we see on display in the New Testament are still active within the life of the church. We promote the Spirit-led giftedness of each believer and the God-given spiritual gifts of the believer used to edify the church. The precedent we find in the New Testament is water baptism following conversion and is meant to symbolically depict the believer’s real union to Christ in His death and resurrection.

About The Church

The church is a local assembly of baptized believers, under the discipline of the Word of God and the Lordship of Christ, organized to carry out the commission to share Christ, to teach, and to administer the ordinances of believer’s baptism and the Lord’s table. Practically speaking, we would affirm the priesthood of the believers encouraging believers to lead others to Christ and fulfilling the Great commission by baptizing them accordingly. Its offices are elders and pastors, and it is self-governing. It functions through the ministry of gifts given by the Holy Spirit to each believer. We would affirm the giftings accordingly to model after Ephesians 4 (Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers).

About Eternity

The return of Christ for all believers is imminent. The unsaved will then be raised and judged according to their works and separated forever from God in hell. The saved, having been raised, will live forever in heaven in fellowship with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
